Educational Background
I received my B.S. in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh in Bradford in December 2000.
I am currently working on my M.S. degree in 21st Century Teaching and Learning through Wilkes University.
Certification
I received my PA State Level 1 Teaching Certificate in Biology in January 2001.
In the fall of 2004, I earned a teaching certificate for General Science.
I need to complete one more graduate level class to receive my Level II certification.
Employment
Following a few months of substitute teaching in area school districts, in April of 2001 I was hired by the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford to be the Mobile Educator for their science outreach program, Science In Motion.
In December 2004, I was offered the 7th grade general science teaching position here in Port Allegany.
